: Hotel Transylvania 2 is an animated comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. It is the sequel to the 2012 film "Hotel Transylvania" and is the second installment in the franchise. The movie was released in 2015 and is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky.The story picks up where the first film left off, with Dracula's hotel, Hotel Transylvania, now open to human guests. The plot revolves around Dracula's concern for his half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, who doesn't seem to be showing any vampire traits. Dracula and his friends embark on a mission to bring out the monster in Dennis, while at the same time dealing with the unexpected visit of Dracula's human-hating father, Vlad.
